FdSc Digital Technologies

Introduction

This two-year programme is ideal for individuals looking to launch a career in the computing and digital industries, with opportunities to progress into technical, creative, or managerial roles. Whether you're interested in cybersecurity, software development, or digital innovation, this course provides a solid foundation in the skills and knowledge that employers value.

With a strong focus on work-based learning, students gain hands-on experience through extended placements with leading local employers - many of which are paid opportunities. These placements not only build technical expertise but also expand students’ professional networks and readiness for the workplace.

The curriculum is developed in close collaboration with key figures from the local digital and tech sectors, ensuring it reflects current industry needs. In the second year, students can choose between two specialist pathways: Cybersecurity or Games Development, allowing them to tailor their learning to their career aspirations.
