At Highlands College, we're committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to as many people as possible. The Recite Me accessibility toolbar is integrated into our website, giving users more control over how they access and interact with our content.

With an estimated 1 in 4 people facing challenges online due to disabilities, learning differences, visual impairments, or language barriers, accessibility is no longer optional; it’s essential. In the UK alone, around 13 million people live with a disability that can make accessing online content challenging. Barriers are particularly common for those with visual impairments, learning difficulties, literacy challenges, language differences, attention disorders, or physical disabilities.

Recite Me allows you to customise the website to suit your individual needs, helping you access information in a way that works best for you. Recite Me provides a range of tools including text-to-speech, language translation, reading aids, and visual customisation options to create an inclusive digital experience.
