We are dedicated to providing you with the support you need to embark on a successful career.

Our Careers, Admissions & Student Enrichment (C.A.S.E.) team offers a range of services to help you explore career options, develop employability skills, and make informed decisions about your progression into the world of work or Higher Education.

Our Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) guidelines ensures that you have access to high-quality, impartial careers guidance. These guidelines apply to all full-time and part-time learners and are designed to help you overcome barriers to progression, learning, and employment.

We are committed to providing a stable and structured careers programme within the Future Skills Tutorials aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks.

We offer a variety of opportunities to help you develop your employability skills. This includes:

Employability and placement drop-in sessions
One-to-one appointments
Workshops and skills sessions
Access to our online learning platform, Navigate, to assess and develop employability skills
Partnership events that bring employers to campus and students to industry

Information for Parents

We recognise the crucial role that parents and carers play in helping students make informed career choices.

At Highlands College, we provide parents with access to Labour Market Information (LMI), which show progression options and future career prospects for each course.

We keep parents informed about their child's opportunities throughout the year by publishing a Careers Programme calendar.

What's after Sixth Form?

Not all students enter into employment upon completion of their sixth form course, in fact, around 50% choose to study further at university level.

Several of our courses have direct learning pathways into University College Jersey (UCJ), but regardless of whether students choose to attend UCJ, or whether they go further afield, we support them fully as they take this next step.
