We offer a broad selection of vocational courses tailored to your interests and our diverse, inclusive campus welcomes everyone.
September/October Option Evenings
Each school will host its own post-16 option evening for parents, carers and students.
These events will feature presentations and talks from Highlands College staff, sixth form and other further education providers.
They're typically held in September or early October.
November Experience Days
Experience days are held each November, providing students with the chance to explore specific courses and get a taste of how the college runs.
Students can meet tutors and experience the college environment first-hand. Each school attends one day between 9:30am and 2pm where students can visit up to three different subject areas.
November Open Evening
Parents and carers will have the opportunity to attend a short welcome presentation by the Director of Admissions, Careers & Employability, which will provide an overview of what the Highlands College Sixth Form offers.
This will be followed by an opportunity to meet with curriculum area Heads of Departments and staff, giving parents and carers the chance to ask specific course related questions.
November Applications Open
The application portal opens for the following academic year once the November experience days and open evening have taken place.

June Transition Days
Students with conditional offers are invited to join us at college for a two-day visit in June. During this time, students will engage in both practical and theoretical lessons within their curriculum. Additionally, students will have the chance to meet staff from cross-college teams, including English and maths, Student Life and Employability.
Additional visits can be arranged through school and our Learning Support Team to support a student’s transition.
By establishing a strong, best-practice and inclusive transition process, we aim to benefit from motivated young people who have made informed choices, feel well-supported and consequently achieve success.
