CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Introduction
The CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Counselling is the final step to qualifying as a counsellor. This is a two-year programme delivered over 36 evenings 12 Saturday workshops. You will learn the critical elements that will see you able to work professionally as a counsellor. The course is designed for someone who wishes to complete their counselling training and begin working in counselling agency settings, with the skills and accreditation required for professional practice. The course focuses on two connected modalities: Existential and Humanistic practice, believed by many practitioners to be the foundation of working as a therapist.
The course is also ideal for those already working in related helping professions who are seeking a deeper understanding of human development, therapeutic relationships, and counselling theory. Through a blend of theory, skills practice, and personal development, learners will explore the foundations of therapeutic work in a structured, supportive environment.
This diploma is a recognised qualification that prepares students for work in the counselling sector or for further progression towards BACP-accredited training or private practice (subject to additional requirements).
The CPCAB key counselling qualifications have been awarded Recognised Qualification Status by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
