Level 2 JPQ Diploma in Mechanical Services

Introduction

This one-year course offers an excellent introduction to the building services, engineering, and welding industries, providing students with the practical skills and foundational knowledge needed to pursue a future apprenticeship or entry-level role in these trades. It is ideal for full-time learners who are interested in hands-on learning and developing a broad understanding of key industry sectors.

Students will attend college up to four days per week, taking part in a mix of practical workshops and classroom-based theory across a variety of disciplines. Core subjects include:

  • Electrical Installation
  • Plumbing
  • Welding

Starting in September, this course is designed to support progression into employment, further training, or a trade-specific apprenticeship, giving learners a strong foundation and a taste of different career paths within the building services sector.
