Level 2 Certificate in Welding and Fabrication Practice

Introduction

This course is designed for aspiring engineering students who wish to pursue a career as a fabricator and welder through an apprenticeship pathway. Delivered as a day-release programme over two years, it allows learners to combine college-based study with hands-on experience in the workplace, building both technical knowledge and practical skills.

Applicants must be employed in a relevant industry role and supported by an employer who can release them for one-day per week to attend college. The remainder of the week will be spent developing skills alongside industry professionals in a real working environment.

The course is structured in two phases:

  • Year 1 focuses on developing core welding and fabrication skills and knowledge in preparation for assessment
  • Year 2 centres on refining those skills and completing final assessments to achieve the full qualification

Please note:
Course fees could be subject to change.
This course will only run if sufficient applications are received.
