CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
Introduction
You have likely recently completed your CPCAB Introduction to Counselling Skills and are considering moving up to the next level of learning. This evening course is delivered over 30 weeks during an academic year and is ideal for individuals who wish to enhance their communication skills and gain a deeper understanding of how counselling theory can be applied in a supportive context.
The course is particularly suitable for those considering a future in counselling or working in a helping role, either professionally or in a voluntary capacity. But it is also ideal for anyone looking to enhance their people skills and then be able to apply that learning to their workplace.
Applicants should have completed the Introduction to Counselling course or hold equivalent experience or training. The course introduces key counselling skills and explores the use of self-awareness, empathy, and active listening in both personal and professional interactions.
The CPCAB key counselling qualifications have been awarded Recognised Qualification Status by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
Due to the reflective and emotionally demanding nature of the course, it is not suitable for individuals experiencing severe emotional difficulty or psychological confusion, as sessions involve personal exploration and disclosure within a supportive learning environment.
