CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies

Introduction

This course is ideal for someone who is looking to deepen their understanding of counselling theory and further develop their communication and interpersonal skills. It is delievered in the evening over 30 weeks during the academic year and builds on the foundation of introductory counselling training and the counselling skills of our CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills and is a key step toward professional practice or further study in the field.

Learners will explore the main psychological theories and modalities that underpin human behaviour and therapy, gaining insight into how these concepts can be applied in a supportive manner. The course also provides a valuable framework for enhancing personal and professional relationships, and for taking a more informed and empathic approach to helping others.

The CPCAB key counselling qualifications have been awarded Recognised Qualification Status by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

Entry requirements

Level 2 Counselling Skills is required, along with tutor recommendation. 

Candidates for this course need to be emotionally ready; this course is not suitable for people who have recently been through a traumatic life experience. Such distance is required for recent addiction recovery also. For guidance please speak to the administrator.
