Course Details
In this short and fun introductory workshop, students will consider editing, tone, audience, and research skills necessary to write historical fiction. Author Daniel Kohlmann says that writing historical fiction is “like doing a Ph.D. and writing a novel simultaneously.” Readers love the immersive experience of reading a novel set in another era, but the eagle-eyed amongst them may spot the smallest error. The process is a delicate balance of what to include, what to edit out, and where the truth can be stretched. Please note this course is not eligible for any concessionary rates.£35
