Who is this course for?
This course meets the needs of learners who want to work as a Plumber/ Heating engineer, Installing systems and equipment in buildings, structures and the environment within the Plumbing and Heating industry.
What are the entry requirements for the course?
Course participants should preferably be employed in the Plumbing and Heating industry and have appropriate GCSEs or equivalent.
How long is this course?
A part-time course for a minimum of 2 years commencing September 2020.
Mode of attendance is day release.
Tuesday: 8.30am to 4.30pm.
What will I study on this course?
- Safe working practices in building services engineering.
- Theory and principles relating to the installation and maintenance of domestic Plumbing and Heating systems including: cold water, hot water, heating and sanitation.
What Qualification will I gain?
Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies.
How is the course assessed?
By successful completion of a mix of on-line tests and externally set examinations in addition to practical tests.
What does this course lead on to?
Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing Studies.
