Who is this course for?
This course is for people in the Trowel Trades industry who wish to gain a qualification, and gain practical and theoretical skills in the trade.
What are the entry requirements for the course?
Grade ‘D’ in English and Maths, or Level 1 Functional Maths and Literacy.
The applicant should also be employed within the industry.
How long is this course?
A three-year part-time course commencing September 2021.
One day per week: Wednesday (8.30am to 4.30pm).
What will I study on this course?
Brickwork & Blockwork Practicals:
- The Construction of Solid and Cavity Walls
- Fireplace & Flues
- Arch work,
- Setting-out of Buildings
- Scaffold Construction
What Qualification will I gain?
Cskills Level 2 Diploma in Brickwork.
How is the course assessed?
By successful completion of seven units at Level 1 and six units at Level 2.
There is one synoptic test per level, and one external multiple-choice online test per level.
What does this course lead on to?
Cskills Level 3 Diploma in Brickwork.
