Foundation Degree in Psychology with Criminology

Introduction

This two-year degree programme is ideal for students interested in exploring the human mind and behaviour alongside the causes and consequences of criminal activity. It provides a strong foundation for a wide range of career paths, including roles as a police officer and probation officer as well roles where an understanding in psychology is beneficial. 

The course places a primary emphasis on Psychology, with Criminology as a complementary minor subject, informed by psychological theory and research. Students will explore key psychological concepts as well as how they relate to crime, deviance, and justice in society.

Throughout the programme, you'll also develop essential research skills using both quantitative and qualitative methods, preparing you for professional practice and further academic study at Honours degree or master’s level. · Two A levels at grades 4/C or above
· BTEC Level 3, minimum of 2 Merits 
· 64+ UCAS points 
· Or the equivalent from a vocational/technical qualification 
· Maths and English GCSEs grades 4/C or above

There is a 10 day work placement during Year 2.
