Since joining the bank, Charlie has gained experience across multiple areas of the organisation, from customer-facing retail environments to marketing and operational support functions, building a broad understanding of how a major financial institution operates.
One of his recent projects highlights both his technical and analytical skills. Using Microsoft Visio, Charlie mapped the experiences of 30 colleagues, who are also internal customers, to better understand customer journeys. By feeding this data into AI tools, he helped generate insights that are now informing improvements to customer experience across the bank.
Beyond project work, Charlie is also contributing to wider conversations within Lloyds. Working alongside senior leadership, including the CEO, he brings a fresh perspective to discussions on sustainability and the future of careers in finance, helping influence how the organisation responds to environmental and social challenges.
One of his most memorable experiences was the event hosting module, where he worked with peers to organise a seven-a-side football match. It was here that he truly recognised the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and taking initiative; skills that continue to underpin his professional success.
