Level 3 Award in Education and Training

Introduction

This nationally recognised City & Guilds qualification is designed for anyone involved in teaching, training, or supporting learning. 

Whether you deliver workplace training, lead staff inductions, run workshops, or are considering stepping into a formal teaching or training role, this course provides a strong foundation in planning, delivering, and assessing inclusive learning across a wide range of settings. 

This course is ideal for: 

  • Staff delivering workplace training, inductions, or internal workshops
  • Subject matter experts who train or coach others as part of their role
  • Trainers in commerce, industry, public services, or the voluntary sector
  • Technicians or support staff involved in learning delivery
  • Aspiring or newly appointed teachers, tutors, or part-time lecturers in adult or further education 

Whether you are new to teaching or want to formalise existing training experience, the Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an excellent starting point and a pathway to more advanced teaching or training qualifications. 

Learners can choose to take part in this 16-week course at Highlands College on either Tuesday evenings or Thursday mornings. The course tutor is Sarah Jordi and classes will commence in February 2026 and end in June 2026.
