Level 2 JPQ Diploma in Health & Social Care

Introduction

The NCFE JPQ Health and Social Care Diploma is a full-time one year Level 2 programme designed for post-16 learners aged up to 19 who are interested in pursuing a future in the health and social care sector. As part of the course, learners will also attend GCSE English and/or Maths resit classes, which are integrated into the timetable to support academic progression.

The programme combines classroom-based learning, structured independent study, and practical work experience, helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and self-discipline needed to progress to Level 3 study or a related training pathway. Learners are supported in developing both academic and professional skills relevant to the care sector.

Modules cover key topics such as health and wellbeing, understanding health care, human physiology, and study skills. All modules must be successfully completed to achieve the full diploma, ensuring learners graduate with a solid foundation for further study or entry into the world of health and social care.
