The NCFE JPQ Diploma in Hair and Beauty is a one year, full-time qualification designed for school leavers who are passionate about starting a career in the vibrant and creative hair and beauty industry. This course offers a solid foundation in both hairdressing and beauty therapy, giving learners the opportunity to explore and develop skills across both specialisms before deciding on a preferred pathway.
Students will gain hands-on experience in a range of core treatments and techniques, including shampooing, conditioning, hair styling, make-up application, facials, skin care, and nail treatments, alongside salon support duties. The course also introduces important topics such as health and safety, client care, and nutrition as they relate to personal care and wellbeing.
Throughout the programme, learners will build confidence, communication skills, and technical ability in a supportive, professional environment. Upon successful completion, students will be well-prepared to progress into further study in Level 2 Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy, or to take their first steps into the industry with practical experience and a clear career direction.
