Foundation Learning
Introduction
The Foundation Learning course, which can be up to three years, is designed to support young people who require additional help with learning. This inclusive programme focuses on building confidence, communication skills, and the essential abilities needed for independent living, offering a supportive environment where learners can thrive.
The course helps students prepare for the workplace by developing key employability skills and learning how to interact effectively in a variety of social and professional situations. Students are encouraged to engage with others, explore their interests, and take positive steps towards greater independence.
In addition to academic and personal development, learners will access college facilities, participate in hands-on vocational training, and enjoy enrichment activities that support their growth and readiness for future opportunities - whether that be further education, training, or supported employment.
