Introduction

This nationally recognised City & Guilds qualification is designed for individuals who assess vocational skills, knowledge, and understanding in classroom or other on-the-job settings. It is ideal for those delivering or planning to deliver assessment in further education, adult learning, or workplace training environments.

The qualification focuses on developing the knowledge and practical skills required to confidently plan, deliver, and evaluate assessments in line with quality assurance standards.

This course is suitable for candidates who:

  • Are currently working, or would like to work, in teaching, training, or assessment within the further or higher education and skills sector
  • Have recently started a teaching, training, or assessment role
  • Are seeking career progression in a teaching, training, or assessing role
  • Deliver training or assessment in industry, voluntary, or adult education settings
  • Work as technicians or learning assistants aiming to move into assessment roles
