Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry

Introduction

This course is the City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry (6706-33), for aspiring carpenters wishing to continue their study as an apprentice at college. Having already completed the Level 2 Diploma successfully, applicants will need to have the support of a relevant employer who will allow attendance at college one-day per week. 

They will work the remaining days in industry, with their employer. The course will develop advanced knowledge and skills whilst simultaneously working along side industry professionals in the workplace to become a fully qualified Advanced Carpenter. The course is one-year, focusing on advanced skills with assessments throughout the year.

Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry or similar qualification to be able to access Level 3.

Exact dates: 8th September 2025 - 30th June 2026

Work experience

Must be fully employed in the trade to access this course. A student who loses their sponsor part way through, is allowed to remain on the course for up to six weeks to secure a new employer.
