Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing
Introduction
This VTCT Skills Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing course is ideal for those looking to begin their career in hairdressing while gaining hands-on industry experience. This apprenticeship is designed to be studied alongside employment one-day per week, learners will receive expert training in all core elements of the NVQ Hairdressing qualification.
The programme focuses on building practical skills, creative techniques, and professional knowledge essential for success in the fast-paced world of hairdressing. Upon completion, learners will be eligible to register as a State Registered Graduate Hairdresser (SRGH) with The Hair Council - a nationally recognised mark of professional status.
Graduates can move directly into employment across a wide range of settings, including commercial salons, freelance or self-employed roles, television and film, cruise ships, hospitals, and more. For those wishing to further their training, progression routes include an advanced apprenticeship or the Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing, opening the door to senior stylist and specialist roles within the industry.
