What are the entry requirements for the course?

No specific entry requirements, however students will be required to undertake an initial assessment to ensure they are ready to undertake a course at this level.


How long is this course?

Dates:  Tuesday 12th September 2017 to June 2018
Duration:  31 weeks
Time:  6.00pm to 8.30pm



What will I study on this course?

  •   AQA 8300 GCSE Linear Mathematics available at Foundation or Higher level
  •   A broad range of topics will be taught within the areas of Number, Algebra, Geometry and Data.



What Qualification will I gain?

This course is aimed at student wishing to gain a Grade 4 or above in GCSE Mathematics.


How is the course assessed?

  •   Three external examinations in June each exam is 1.5 hours long
  •   Paper 1 – non-calculator
  •   Paper 2 – calculator
  •   Paper 3 – calculator


What does this course lead on to?

This is an essential qualification for employment and access to further education courses at Level  2 and Level 3.
