Who is this course for?
Intended for any individual employed or intending to work in a food and catering environment.
What are the entry requirements for the course?
No particular requirements other than being employed in a food environment. A good understanding of English language is required.
How long is this course?
A 9 hour part time course delivered on a Monday over 3 weeks.
Time: 2:00pm to 5:00pm
Course one dates: 30.09.19 to 14.10.19
Course two dates: 18.11.19 to 02.12.19
Exam will take place on the last hour of the final session.
What will I study on this course?
Introduction to Food Safety; The Law; Food Safety Hazards; Temperature Control; Food Handling; Cleaning and Disinfection; Food Premises and Equipment.
Please note that 100% attendance is vital in order to be eligible to sit the exam.
What Qualification will I gain?
Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
How is the course assessed?
Written examination (multiple choice questions).
What does this course lead on to?
Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering Level 3.
