Who is this course for?

This course is for people in the Trowel Trades industry who wish to gain a qualification and gain practical and theoretical skills in the trade.

 

What are the entry requirements for the course?

Grade ‘D’ in English and Maths or Level 1 Functional Maths and Literacy. The applicant should also be employed within the industry.

 

How long is this course?

A 3 year part-time course commencing September 2018.
One day per week: Wednesday – 9.00am to 5.15pm.

 

What will I study on this course?

Brickwork & Blockwork Practicals – The Construction of Solid and Cavity Walls, Fireplace & Flues, Arch work, Setting-out of buildings, and Scaffold Construction.

 

What Qualification will I gain?

Cskills Level 2 Diploma in Brickwork (during the course you will also gain the Level 1 Diploma).

 

How is the course assessed?

By successful completion of seven units at Level 1 and six units at Level 2; one synoptic test per level; one external multiple choice on-line test per level.

 

What does this course lead on to?

Cskills Level 3 Diploma in Brickwork.
