    Admissions Criteria

    Although the specific entry criteria for each degree programme will vary the minimum requirement for all will be based on 160 UCAS points from two A levels at grade C, or the equivalent and five GCSEs at grade C which must include English and Mathematics.

    Where can I find more information about each course?

    Course information is available on the brochures, located on the course pages at this website. You can also email UCadmin@highlands.ac.uk, or telephone the University Centre administration office on 01534 608 526 and we will send details to you.

    How can I be sure a course is right for me?

    Contact the University Centre administration office and we will put you directly in touch with course specialists at Highlands College. Our course specialists will be able to discuss entry requirements, previous work experience, study time commitment and your ultimate career aims to see if the course is right for you. Alternatively, we can arrange an informal chat with our Information & Guidance Tutor or a careers interview with Careers Jersey.

    What fee might I be expected to pay?

    Fee levels for new students starting on degree programmes from September 2013 are as follows:

    • Classroom based subjects (FT) – £5,689 (JSSD, FdA Fin Ser, BA Fin Ser, FdA Bus & Mgmt, FdA Acc & Fin, FdA Childhood Studies)
    • Work-shop based subjects (FT) – £6,663 (FdSc IT for Bus)
    • Work-shop based subjects (PT) – £3,332 (Art degree)
    • UK/EEA/Overseas students (FT) – £7,688

    Part-time students will be charged 50% of the full-time fee.

    How do I know if I am eligible for financial support?

    For degree programmes the Student Finance office at Careers Jersey, located in the Social Security Department, La Motte Street, St Helier, will be able to tell you if you are eligible for support with tuition fees and/or a maintenance grant. Financial support may be available for some part-time courses. For other full-time programmes, you should contact Income Support to see if financial support is available.
