Welcome to Highlands College Media Centre
The Highlands College Media Centre, founded in 1997, is Jersey’s foremost provider of full-time Media Production qualifications.
Our specialist courses are designed for students who aspire to careers in a wide variety of media production settings, including, but not limited to; TV & Film Production, Post-Production, Journalism, Advertising, Audio & Publishing.
As well as specialist technical skills and knowledge students will develop a wide variety of transferable skills, including; Project Management, Research Techniques, Presentation & Communication skills, working with clients and working to deadlines.
We have strong links with local media organisations and UK universities and all of our staff have extensive experience working in a wide variety of media industries.
Our level 3 courses (known as Extended Diplomas) are the equivalent of 3 A-Levels and provide an ideal progression route either to University or to employment within the media and communication industries.
Our level 2 courses (known as First Diplomas) provide an ideal opportunity for students to further improve their GCSE profile and progress to higher level courses.
