Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for students with no previous experience who would like to learn the basics in anatomy, physiology
and body massage.
How long is this course and when does it run?
.A 19 week part-time course beginning September 2009
Saturday morning: 12 September 2009 to 13 February 2010 from 9.00am to 12.30pm
Wednesday evening: 9 September 2009 to 10 February 2010 from 6.00pm to 9.30pm

What are the entry requirements for this course?
Candidates should be over 18.
1\ warding Body requirement - A thorough understanding of English is required due to dle compulsory assessments and
complex vocabulary needed for 1\anatomy and Physiology. Training in English as a second language can be arranged
PRIOR to the commencement of the course. Learning support screening will be Undertaken for all students at the start of
the course and support given where identified.
What will I study on this course?
External test M2 Health & Safety; External test M74 Employment standards; M17 - prepare for and provide body
massage; M149 - Exhibit knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology for Massage.
What qualification will I gain?
Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Body  Massage
How will it be assessed?
Test papers, assignment and client practical assessment
What does this course lead on to?
With the Body Massage certificate it is possible to move on to the holistic therapy courses, Indian Head :Massage,
Reflexology or Aromatherapy. Career opportunities in health centres, health farms, leisure centres, beauty salons, self
employment (mobile and from home) department stores.
