Highlands College Media Centre is equipped with industry standard computer and audio/visual production equipment in order to prepare them for a career in the Media industries.
Computers
Our Apple Macintosh suites contain the latest hardware and software, such as; Adobe Design Premium CS5 (which includes Photoshop Extended CS5, Indesign CS5 and Illustrator CS5), Apple Final Cut Studio 3 (Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro and Color), Steinberg Cubase and Microsoft Office 2011.
Our purpose built Macintosh AV network allows students to work on their production projects from any Mac in the centre, as well as giving them access to a vast library of stock video footage, music and sound effects.
Studios
The Media Centre Studios allow students to experiment with all kinds of video, audio and photography production techniques. Facilities include a Multi-Camera video studio with live chroma key and autocue, ADR recording facilities, photographic lighting and different coloured backdrops. 
Equipment
Students have access to a wide range of professional production equipment, including; video cameras, microphones, digital SLR cameras, audio recorders, lighting and much more.
