Refresher in Hairdressing

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for those who may have left the industry and would like to return or those already qualified who would like to update their skills and learn new techniques without having to travel off island.  It is also suitable for candidates who may have already completed Level 2 but did not make the leap from apprentice to stylist and now feel they are ready and want to develop confidence.

Candidates for this course should have good skills in cutting, colouring and blowdrying and are keen to develop these. Techniques that will be taught include ballayage, creative colour, creative cutting and long hair work to ensure that you can offer your clients the very latest in hairdressing trends.

 

What are the entry requirements for the course?

Suitable candidates for this course are required to be competent in all basic hairdressing skills, to include cutting and colouring.

 

How long is this course?

This is a 27 weeks course which runs over the following dates:

Wednesday 13th September 2017 – Wednesday 2nd May 2018  6.00pm to 9.00pm

Theory to support the practical will be delivered to refresh current knowlege

Highlands College Certificate in Hairdressing Refresher Techniques

 

How is the course assessed?

Practical training and guidance, demonstration

 

 

What does this course lead on to?

This course can lead to increased business within the salon,  progression to senior stylist,  employment back in to the industry and progression to the second year of the Hairdressing Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3.
