Who is this course for?

This course is for people in industry to gain certification as a carpenter or joiner and gain practical and theoretical skills in the trade

 

What are the entry requirements for the course?

Grade ‘D’ in English and Maths or Level 1 Functional Maths and Literacy.  The applicant should also be employed within the industry.

 

How long is this course?

A 3 year part-time course commencing September 2017
One day per week: Monday, Tuesday or Thursday (depending on year)
Time: 8.00am to 5.30pm

 

What will I study on this course?

Bench Joiner or Site Carpenter skills in a full range of making or fixing wood products. Details available on application.

 

What Qualification will I gain?

Cskills Level 2 Diploma (during the course you will also gain the Level 1 Diploma)

 

How is the course assessed?

By successful completion of six units at Level 1 and seven units at Level 2; one external multiple choice on-line test per level; a number of synoptic tests per level.

 

What does this course lead on to?

Cskills Level 3 Diploma
