Trainer:

Nicola Busby, MBA

Nicola is an experienced business change manager, trainer and author.

She has many years experience of managing a range of business changes in the public, private and non-profit sector in the UK.

Nicola has a specific interest in cultural and behavioural change. She is continually surprised at how much cultural change is required in every organisational change, from the smallest IT-enabled change to large scale mergers and acquisitions. She passionately believes that business change can make a big difference to the success of change initiatives. This success increases benefits for the organisation and also makes working life much nicer for the people involved. Her clients have included the Houses of Parliment, Penguin Random House, The Financial Ombudsman Service and the National Childbirth Trust (NCT).

Nicola trains and lectures on business change management in universities and FTSE 100 organisations. She is an accredited trainer for the APMG Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certificate. Nicola enjoys spending quality time with delegates, developing their knowledge and skills.  However, she was awarded a distinction for her MBA so is also a self-confessed theory enthusiast.

Nicola authored chapter 7 of the Effective Change Manager’s Handbook, entitled Change Readiness, Plannning and Measurement. The Handbook is the official textbook for the APMG Change Management Certification.  Nicloa has recently completed her first book, The Shape of Change: a guide to planning, implementing and embedding organisational change.
