Who is this course for?

This qualification is designed for managers who have the authority and personal inspiration to translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance. The qualification requires managers to build on their strategic management and leadership skills and to focus on the requirements of implementing the organisation’s strategy.


What are the entry requirements for the course?

This course is intended for Senior Managers who may be required to attend a pre course interview before enrolling.

Understand the relationship between strategic management and leadership

Understand leadership principles that support organisational values

Understand leadership strategies and the impact on organisational

2018 Date TBC: Developing Performance Management Strategies:

Be able to set performance targets of teams to meet strategic objectives.

Be able to agree team performance targets to contribute to meeting strategic objectives.

Be able to monitor actions & activities defined to improve team performance.

Be able to apply influencing and persuading skills, to the dynamics & politics of personal interactions.









What Qualification will I gain?


With one successfully completed module:

Chartered Management Institute Level 7 Award in Strategic Management and Leadership.

Upon successful completion of both modules:

Chartered Management Institute Certificate 7 Award in Strategic Management and Leadership.


How is the course assessed?

To successfully complete the modules delegates must complete a written assignment, this will be assessed directly by CMI.

Delegates are required to complete pre course work and reflective activities in advance of the course.


What does this course lead on to?

Work toward Chartered Manager status.


How much will it cost?

Fee per module: £667.00 (this is inclusive of the £117 CMI registration fee and GST)

Fee for both modules: £1334 (this is inclusive of the £117 CMI registration fee and GST)

GST exempt companies should send a copy of their ISE certificate with their application form with a fee of £635.25

Ian Ronayne 

Ian’s professional background is in marketing and product management, with extensive senior management experience working for a leading local telecoms company.

Since 2009 he has operated in a freelance capacity, mixing consultancy based services focused on technology projects with writing and production assignments. Teaching portfolio includes CMI Management Levels 2, 3, 5 and 7 together with courses on business skills and specialised adult education.

Ian holds a post-graduate diploma in marketing and a Level 7 diploma in Coaching and Mentoring. He has a City & Guilds qualification in Adult Education.

Mary Curtis MA, Chartered FCIPD, CDIR has a Master’s Degree in Manpower Studies; post graduate Diploma in HR Management & obtained the IOD Diploma in Company Direction. Mary has held Directorships in the Human Resources & Training function and is a Non-Executive Director of Jersey Water.  Her clients span the UK and Europe, and she provides personal & executive coaching to a number of commercial & financial organisations.
