Who is this course for?

Management & Leadership is a comprehensive qualification providing you with the key management skills to enable you to operate effectively as a middle manager. It allows you to develop a range of competencies from operational management principles and practices to the development of resource control and use.

 

What are the entry requirements for the course?

There are no formal entry requirements, however, you must attend a pre course interview before enrolling.

 

How long is this course?

Delivery is through daytime workshops delivered over a 9 – 12 month period.

You can start the programme with any of the modules and they do not need to be taken in a specific order.

Start date: Flexible (join individual units anytime).

  • Organisational Financial Management 12 January 2018
  • Introduction to Management and Leadership 18 January 2018
  • Practices of Resource Management 28 February 2018
  • Managing Recruitment, Selection & Induction 19 March 2018
  • Managing Team & Individual Performance 30 May 2018
  • Meeting Stakeholder & Quality Needs July 2018
  • Personal Development as a Manager & Leader September 2018
  • Conducting a Management Project – self study module with 1:1 tutor support.

 

 

What Qualification will I gain?

The Level 5 qualification in Management & Leadership offers a highly flexible approach to learning.

To gain the Extended Diploma 62 credits (all units) must be completed.

To gain the Diploma any combination of units to a minimum of 38 credits must be completed.

To gain the Certificate any combination of units to a minimum of 13 credits must be completed.

To gain the Award a minimum of 6 credits must be completed.

 

 

How is the course assessed?

To successfully complete the units, delegates must complete both written and practical assignments together with a work based project.

Delegates are required to complete pre course work before each unit.

 

What does this course lead on to?

The Diploma in Management & Leadership is recognised by the Chartered Management Institute as the benchmark qualification for full membership of the Institute and enables you to progress towards Chartered Manager status.

 

How much will it cost?

Award: £355 plus CMI Registration £102.

Certificate: £710 – £1065   plus CMI Registration £142.

Diploma: £1755 – £2130  plus CMI Registration £183.
